Evoke Motorcycles – an introduction
Evoke Motorcycles, is a Beijing-based manufacturer of smart electric motorcycles. It was officially founded by Nathan Siy and Chris Riether in 2014 in Beijing, China but had been in operation developing electric motorcycles since 2012.
It currently is headquartered in the Yizhuang District, Beijing, China.
In June 2017, Evoke Motorcycles were chosen as one of the 5 most exciting products at CES Asia’s Startup Park.
CES is an annual trade show organized by the Consumer Technology Association.
Evoke Electric Motor Cycles
Evoke motorcycles had already released two electric motor cycle models to the market.
Urban Classic and Urban S are already available in the market. In addition, Evoke electric bike plans to manufacture cruiser bike-6061.

#1 Urban Classic
The 2020 model of Urban Classic comes with an upgraded power controller and optional dual chargers. The bike offers 200km (125 miles) per charge and a top speed of 130km/h (81mph).
The important thing is that you can charge the bike on a J1772 public charging station.

Features of Urban Classic Electric Motorcycle
- Dual compound tires: Evoke’s electric motorcycles strive to maximize power efficiency. With our Dual Compound Tires (DCT) for all 2020 models, they provide a dense rubber compound in the center of the tire to maximize rolling efficiency and a softer rubber compound on the sides to maximize grip.
- Dual onboard chargers: The optional upgrade of the charger reduces the charging time by half. This allows an 80% battery charge in just under 90 min, or from 30% to 80% in an hour.
- 1-Touch Reverse Gear: The vehicle travels reverse with a simple press and hold button.
- Twist & Go Acceleration: No gear drive!
- 12V battery backup: Incase the main 7.8kWh battery runs low the 12V battery pack supply auxiliaries
#2 Urban S
Evoke Urban S is an Italian styled naked sport bike. Similar to the Classic, Urban S also has an upgraded power controller and optional dual chargers.

#3 Evoke 6061
6061 is yet to release by Evoke Motorcycles. It says that the vehicle would be the electric power cruiser you never knew existed!
From the evoke website..
The upcoming 6061 is a powerhouse that will spark itself in the market. With the all new brushless DC engine and a top speed of over 230+ km , it will be able to travel to any place from urban environment to the country side. If you run out of juice, it can be charged in less than 15 minutes with the all new powerful DC charge.

Freatures of 6061 Evoke Electric Bike
- Dual compound tires: Evoke’s 6061 tubeless tires are a whopping 200/55-17 in size. They strive to maximize power efficiency but also provide you with a smooth ride. With our Dual Compound Tires (DCT), they provide a dense rubber compound in the center of the tire to maximize rolling efficiency and a softer rubber compound on the sides to maximize grip.
- AC-DC Charging: You can charge the Evoke 6061 within 15 minutes while using the 125 KW DC charge. After 15 minutes your battery pack will be back up to 100% and you’re good to go for an entire round before reloading. AC is also available with the 6061.
- Laser-cut T.P.F.: The Evoke 6061 uses an ‘Aero Space 6061 aluminum laser-cut twin plate frame’ that is of the highest quality metal in order to ensure that the cruiser is of maximum reliability and safety.
- Brakes by J. Juan: To ensure peak performance and quality, Evoke uses J. Juan brakes and axial master cylinder to ensure that the rider is in full control over the cruiser when it comes to breaking and reliability
- Full LED-lights: in case the main 9.05kWh battery pack runs low, there’s a 12v battery used to power auxiliary lighting for safety.
MyEvoke Concept
MyEvoke is a new concept of riding a motorcycle without buying one. The user pays an initial deposit for an Urban S then a monthly subscription. When the rider is running low on a battery charge, they ride the bike to a swap station and swap the bike for a fresh one.
This removes the hassle of charging, maintaining and insuring a motorcycle. The MyEvoke service will initially be released in Beijing then expand to other cities across China and Europe.
MyEvoke was in a Beta testing phase in Beijing and has been currently discontinued at this time.
